Got
my compass. I bought a flush mount, so a hole in the deck is needed.
I made the ring out of 3/4" mahogany. |

used a drum sander drill bit to sand the arc into the mount. A belt
sander would have been better, but unfortunately I don't have one. |

missing: I managed to fit 4 C clamps in that hole to hold it down
tight. Here it is all glued down and I just coated it with epoxy.

Sanded
the bottom of the rudder deck block with the drum sander, and glued
it on the deck. |

deck wasn't touching the bulkhead, so I made a nice little fillet
there to seal it up and strengthen it. |
